Bark in the Park 5k and Woof Walk

Two- and four-legged (canine) members of the community are invited to enjoy a tail-waggin' good time at the Animal Care Society's (ACS) Annual Bark in the Park and Woof Walk at Seneca Park (near the tennis courts).

Established in 1984 and located at 12207 Westport Road, east of the Gene Snyder Freeway, the Animal Care Society is a no-kill shelter for dogs and cats.

The Society operates as a private non-profit organization under Section 503 of the Internal Revenue Service code. Annual membership dues, bequests, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent of tax laws. The Society does not receive grants from any local, state or federal agency.

Activities for the day include:

7 AM – Run/Walk Registration Begins

8 AM – Woof Walk/Run Begins

9 AM – Vendor Booths Open

10 AM – Owner/Pet Look-A-Like Contest and Kissing Contest

10:30 AM – Costume Contest

11:30 AM – ACS Alumni Picture

12:30 PM – Dog of the Year

2:00 PM – Silent Auction Concludes

9 AM - 2:00 PM - Rally courses and demonstrations, Canine Good Citizen Test (ALL COURTESY OF THE LOUISVILLE KENNEL CLUB)

9 AM - 2:00 PM - FREE Distemper vaccines to the public and low cost microchipping $15.00
