Festivities for Independence Day may not be taking place in person in 2020, so let's celebrate virtually! Join Louisville Running Company for the Firework 5K, a virtual run/walk to support Waterfront Park.

Run or walk 3.1 miles from June 29-July 5 on your own, submit your results through https://runsignup.com/firework5K, and share your race experience on social media using the hashtag #Firework5K. All participants will receive a commemorative medal and a pair of patriotic American flag-themed crew socks by mail in the weeks following the race.

A portion of proceeds raised from the Firework 5K will benefit Louisville's Waterfront Park. The Waterfront isn't just a place, it's an experience. An experience that's different for everyone. It's a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city. It's a natural haven for quiet reflection. It's an ongoing festival of sounds and sights. It's your favorite band blasting into the night sky. And it's right here, accessible to all. With events being canceled or postponed and funding being cut to agencies like Waterfront Park, our support is needed now more than ever.
